India is very rich in
terms of its Culture and Traditions and its languages, religions, food,
lifestyle, music, architecture differ from place to place. Various elements of
India’s diverse cultures, such as Indian religion, Yoga, Ayurveda and its rich
Rituals have a great impact on this whole world. India is usually tagged with
the phrase, ‘unity in diversity’. India is a nation of 29 different states which
among themselves differ in culture, languages, and traditions.
Western culture has affected
almost every dimensions of the society. We can also say that it has impact on
Indian traditions and changes life style of the society. Each and everything
including clothing, fashion, food, media, and traditions has been affected by
the advent of western culture. The youth prefers to wear western dresses rather
than traditional Indian dresses.
It has been a complaint
that Indians are highly influenced by western culture. In terms of economy,
food and culture make sure our youth do not forget the richness of being
Indian. People are blindly starts following western culture without knowing its
consequences.
Westernization gives
rise to nuclear families. The most effected part is our new blooms, which have
sprouted they find themselves stressed in this environment as there is no one
to take care of them. They will not get
the love of their grandparents. It is very unfortunate that new sprouts remain
cut off from moral values.
Divorce rate in India
is lowest among all the countries in the world. It seems that 1 out of 100
Indian marriages that turning into breakups. In America there is 50% of
marriages that ends up to a divorce. The rate of divorce in India was even low in the
previous decade, where only 7.40 marriages out of 1,000 marriages were
annulled. The divorce rate in Indian villages is even lower in caparison to
urban India. Around 20 years back India had a negligible divorce
rate of around 5%. But based on the increasing number of divorce being filed
today, the divorce rate in India is expected to rise up at a faster rate by the
ensuing year.
There is no harm in
learning good things from western culture but this does not mean that we
completely adopt it and dislikes Indian values. It is shocking to see that
Indian are forgetting their culture and western people coming here to seeking
the value of true peace, which is totally absent there.
In past in India men wear
our traditional dresses, but now it is entirely changed, now the Indian youth
moving with jeans, t-shirts, minis, micros, etc., here we can proud of that
western culture. But when we consider the pubs, it is the thing to be strictly
punished. In pubs both men and women are in drastic stage, by taking drugs, it
should be punished. And we need to felt sorry for that.
